The Administrative Medical Assistant position at Baptist Health Medical Group in Endocrinology, New Albany, is a full-time role involving a variety of clinical and administrative duties. Responsibilities include responding to patient callbacks and prescription refill requests, ensuring medical records are accurate and up to date, capturing patient vital signs and histories, administering medications and injections as directed by physicians, performing phlebotomy, EKGs, PFTs, spirometry, nebulizer treatments, ear irrigations, and in-office lab testing such as glucose, strep screens, pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and HgA1c. The role also involves sterilizing instruments according to CDC guidelines, maintaining required certifications and licensures, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, Basic Life Support certification within 90 days, and prior healthcare experience or certification as a Medical Assistant.
