About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Research Administration to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a strategic and collaborative leader with a strong background in research operations, particularly in the management of a complex research administration portfolio. This role is pivotal in supporting high-impact projects and expanding the company's research capabilities and partnerships. The Assistant VP will be responsible for the daily management of the Office of Research Administration, supervising a blended team, and ensuring a high level of support to constituents. They will also oversee the preparation and submission of various research-related reports, serve as the Institutional Official for pre-award and selected post-award activities, and foster a compliant grants management environment. Applicants must have a Master's degree in a relevant field, 6-10 years of experience in sponsored research administration, and a proven track record of leadership and problem-solving. The role requires a faculty-focused and customer-service-oriented individual with the ability to adapt communication styles across a range of stakeholders. Strong knowledge of research regulations and compliance frameworks is essential, as is experience in developing and implementing research administration policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a background in negotiating government and corporate contracts, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience in supervising remote or hybrid teams. Preferred qualifications include research administration certifications and experience with research administration systems.
