Overview

The Court Bond Compliance Officer Administrative Services Officer 3 is a non-civil service position responsible for monitoring and enforcing strict adherence to all imposed bond conditions and/or mandates set by the General Sessions Court Judge. This includes compliance with GPS and electronic monitoring, drug testing, stay-away and no contact provisions, and all other judicial directives. Supervises adult, high-risk interpersonal violence offenders released on bond conditions and placed on GPS, electronic monitoring, or other tracking devices under the jurisdiction of the General Sessions Court.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete intake and Case Management in compliance with the General Sessions Court Probation Department Policy Manual.
• Monitor compliance for high-risk interpersonal violence offenders placed on GPS and electronic monitoring devices.
• Review daily GPS reports and alerts from monitoring agencies regarding zone violations, equipment tampering, or unauthorized movements.
• Coordinate with monitoring vendors and law enforcement to investigate suspicious activity or violations.
• Communicate effectively with the Director, Supervisor, Judges, and other court personnel.
• Report to the court any non-compliance, completion of programs, and/or recommended conditions.
• Communicate non-compliance to the District Attorney Generals Office via email or as directed.
• Explain Firearm Dispossession and the expectations while on bond conditions; verify that the Firearm Dispossession Form has been signed by the offender and maintain it in the database.
• Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the Probation Departments database; manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Notify the courts promptly when GPS violations occur to schedule the offender on a compliance docket.
• Conduct regular compliance checks (in person, by phone, or via virtual platforms), including scheduled and unannounced visits.
• Respond to emails and calls in a timely manner.
• Review daily arrest reports, drug testing, and compliance with bond conditions.
• Attend court as scheduled or as requested by the Director, Supervisor, or Judge; participate in workshops, meetings, and conferences to foster professional development.
• Engage and collaborate with community partners as needed.
• Provide offenders with referrals to treatment, employment, educational training, and other areas of need.
• Prepare statistical or summary reports for department and court use.
• Attend court hearings while supervising bond conditions, leading team meetings, and participating in case staffing sessions, especially the High-Risk Intervention Panel (HRIP).
• Comply with all procedures and policies in the General Sessions Court Probation Manual and the General Sessions Court Personnel Manual.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college and two (2) years of experience in criminal justice, court services, probation, or law enforcement. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education (1:1 ratio).
• Valid Driver License.

All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government. Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of interpersonal violence, court procedures, bond conditions, and offender supervision.
• Familiarity with GPS, electronic monitoring, drug testing procedures, and treatment resources for offenders.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including database entry and report generation.
