Shipper/Receiver
MSK Precision Products specializes in manufacturing superior high precision parts and assembly for the medical, aerospace and DOD industries. We are a fast-paced, quality-driven facility looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that incoming and outgoing shipments are handled accurately and efficiently while meeting daily shipping deadlines.
Position Summary:
Ensures that all customer packaging and delivery requirements, including all outside processing, are met by utilizing all necessary means available. This role is vital to maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
2. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, customer orders, purchase orders, or other records.
3. Examines and packages outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet customer requirements.
4. Pull and return inventory from stock, verify quantities, re-package and re-label as needed.
5. Maintains inventory of all shipping materials and supplies.
6. May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
7. Issue components for assemblies.
8. Performs purchase order receiving.
9. Scan receiving documents and process sheets.
10. Honeywell VMI inventory – performs daily shipping transactions for Honeywell, as needed.
Non-essential Responsibilities:
1. Performs other duties as directed.
2. Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly workplace.
Position Qualifications and Competency Statements:
· 3-5 years on the job experience in related field.
· Knowledge of FedEx, UPS, DHL and other transportation companies’ software.
· Knowledge of International Shipping Documents.
· Proficient of MS Word and Excel.
· Ability to read and write English.
· Communication – Ability to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing.
Skills and Abilities:
· Team player working within the common goals of the company and the team.
· Perform any other task requested by management.
· Demonstrate adherence to all departmental and company procedures and policies.
